Yes. If you have at least 1 goon, Scrape cash loss is prevented.

However, the protection consumes 1 goon.

You can target players outside your location, but being in the same location grants a 10% attack bonus.

Risk stacks from location risk, your risk modifier, and weapon risk. Snitches and high bounty also increase negative-event pressure, especially CANU bust chance.

Possible reasons:

  • They are hospitalized
  • You lack energy
  • Anti-grief rule blocks it (target below 20% of your net worth)
  • They are below newbie protection threshold

Diminishing returns apply to repeated successful mugs on the same target in the same day: 100% -> 50% -> 25% floor.
