Bounty & Heat
Bounty is the heat on your head. The higher it gets, the more dangerous travel becomes and the more attention you attract.
How Bounty Increases
Section titled “How Bounty Increases”Mugging
Section titled “Mugging”Every successful mug adds bounty:
500 + 35% of cash stolen + 75 per inventory unit stolenThat means big robberies spike heat very quickly.
Getting snitched on
Section titled “Getting snitched on”If another player snitches on you, you gain:
- +1,500 bounty
- +0.15 risk modifier
Why Bounty Matters
Section titled “Why Bounty Matters”Bounty raises your CANU danger during travel.
Thresholds:
- GYD 5,000 bounty: +20% CANU pressure
- GYD 15,000 bounty: +50% CANU pressure
- GYD 30,000 bounty: +100% CANU pressure
At GYD 30,000+, traveling into high-risk neighborhoods can effectively force a CANU bust.
How Bounty Drops
Section titled “How Bounty Drops”Bounty naturally comes down over time:
- Travel decay: 2% per trip
- Day rollover decay: 10% per day
You can cool off, but not instantly. A reckless streak can stay dangerous for several moves.
Practical Bounty Play
Section titled “Practical Bounty Play”- Push aggression when you have cash banked and strong defense.
- Avoid high-risk travel when you cross a major bounty threshold.
- If you get snitched on, assume your next route is more dangerous than usual.
- Short profit cycles are safer than long inventory holds when your heat is high.
